It still peeves me that a $2,000+ laptop only comes with 2 USB ports. You can rationalize it all you want, but like the recessed iPhone headphone jack, it's just stupid. I'm all for more USB ports. I've got a 7-port powered hub at home and always take a 3-port hub with me on the go. So lame...
Also I hope they fix the screen hinge issue. I hate not being able to tilt the screen back 180 degrees like practically every other laptop on the market

wow, so I guess im not the only person with that complaint, although, few laptops feal as sturdy at the hindge as my brand new macbook pro... The way I see it, if you wait till january, and they do come out with a new chipset at least, if not a re-desighn, then you get to be ****** 3 months from that when OS (wild cat) comes is anounched, people will wait for that, just to have a new mbp of mb redesighn, its a never ending circle... and I to cary a portable 5 port usb hub, it sucks my battery dry fast though...

I agree with Acting rude... if you wait every time something new is announced you'll never get it. That said, I'm still going to wait for the next MBP to be released before I buy because I'm not to impressed with the current line and it's price range... and my budget.

Oooh looky here...
http://macslice.com/2007/09/22/compl...be-redesigned/ If any of this is true... it sounds pretty good. I like the idea of black aluminum... Apparently the new line will be announced at the release of Apple. That's good, means I won't be super anxious about what's coming for much longer... Why do you need so may? Get an Airport Extreme and hook up your printer and external HD to it, no need for cords. |

MacBook Pro
* New design, Black & Silver aluminum * Lighter than current model * New style backlit Apple keyboard * Larger trackpad with “unusual” features * Improved battery life * Biometric fingerprint reader (May be part of the “unusual trackpad” or will be concealed in speakers) * LED in 17 inch screens * Core 2 Extreme Mobile (X7900) model with 2.8GHz * NVIDIA GeForce 8600m GT (256mb on lower model 512mb option on higher) * SuperDrive & Option for Blu-ray (Single layer) That's f* awesome if it's true .
