Pyykkonen predicts that Adobe will release CS3 on May 1. Adobe executives are guiding analysts lower in their financial targets for the firm ahead of the CS3 launch, he says.

Yeah, I'd rather have it be bug-free than shoddy, but still...you'd think Adobe could hire a team to expedite a Universal update or release. 8 months is a long time to wait for professional software. Oh well, let it go, let it go...

Yeah, but hiring extra programmers can often slow a project down more or reduce application quality (see aperture) ... plus they have to maintain feature compatibility and interoperability across 2 platforms, so it's probably better for the core team of coders to take their time and do it right.

I agree, I would much rather have a stable product later than a buggy product sooner. I am going on a Mac hiatus for awhile. I am selling my Mini & MacBook and will start saving up for a Mac Pro. By the time I have enough for a decked-out model CS3 should be out
