I tried googling this question, but couldn't find an answer. I am waiting for Apple to HOPEFULLY sell new rMBPs this fall. I'm new to Apple and it seems to me like they don't tell anyone ahead of time when and IF they will be making new hardware..... so I can't even find out IF there will be new rMBPs coming out this fall. I hear the rumour there might be MBA's with a 12" screen, but I'm waiting for any new rMBP's with a 15" screen.

Anyhow, a small dilemma. I have over $400 in Amazon Gift certificates in my amazon account, and i was HOPING to apply that money towards a new Apple laptop later this year. So I am trying to find out, IF Apple does release brand new laptops--new rMBPs not listed on their store site right now--will Amazon.com be selling them?

I see Amazon DOES sell Apple products. And there are MBP's that say in their title things like "Newest version" or "Older version."

My options are to:

1. Hope Apple releases new rMBPs and Amazon will sell them also, immediately upon their release, so I can use that $400+ towards the purchase, or

2. To shop at store.apple.com as soon as they are released and use Apple financing to buy my new laptop, and use their 18 months financing at 0%. My FIRST Apple laptop, ever. (I'm SO excited!) or

3. Or buy the laptop at store.apple.com and use a different credit card with a lower APR and take advantage of their 6, 12, or 18 months 0% offer.....

I really want to be able to use my Amazon gift certs though, that is a nice little chunk of money.

Any ideas??

No one knows when Apple is going to release a new model of anything. Speculating is usually futile. But since Amazon is an authorized Apple re-seller, when new models are announced you can bet that Amazon will be getting them in stock for re-sale. Hold on to your gift cards.

Indeed, I shall hold on to them!

I'm just wondering if Amazon will sell new releases immediately? Or is there some time delay...

Does Amazon always sell the new released items?

Being that I'll be buying a new release (hopefully there will be one) for the first time, I'm not sure if amazon gets to sell new releases immediately. I've bought my ipad and ipods before at amazon.com, but never right after they launched.
