    Recently, there has been a rather silent but important story floating around about an odd bug built into Cocoa (OS X’s application programming interface that, in part, includes the user interface elements of OS X including things like buttons and text boxes).     This has been fixed in the 10.8.3 betas. Now if they'd just release 10.8.3 ...

    Absolutely. As I noted, this bug appears to have been fixed in the 10.8.3 betas floating around. I just brought this up as a piece of interest more than anything.

    Evidently, it also doesn't happen if you have system-wide autocorrect turned off.
    Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics!

    Yeah, the bug is tied to the autocorrect functionality. I tried to decipher the "nerd speak" but the bug has something to do with the autocorrect system running into a wall since it doesn't know how to parse what might be a file URI.
