I have a problem with this!!! well, not this in particular,

But as Apple, Google, Amazon, Netflix, HBO, and others are pushing cloud storage, online viewing of various TV channels, having a full array of videos on demand, infinite streaming, etc, etc…
Every internet provider in my area has a bandwidth cap anywhere from 150 GB – 250 GB per month.
I really hope Apple, Google, and the others join up to fight these bandwidth caps, and the 2% user myth, or all the available options for online viewing will become pointless, as I will be back to renting a movie from Redbox.

Unless they buy Redbox and deny you the battlefield... I'd imagine the end game is that you never take possession of electronic media or data (save for small cached temporary files) in the future. Ownership is not for the masses, their place is to rent.

The data caps are the worst part of this, but 250GB is honestly just fine for normal TV use. I got rid of cable and have watched nothing but Netflix/Hulu/etc for months now. Tapped the 250 mark once, and it was when I had to download several 5GB files for work over the course of two weeks. A lot of the streaming content is less data than you would think. I'm not "pro-cap" by any means, but the whole thing is the way that the market is going. Much like mobile data, where Sprint offers the only unlimited service and for less money than the competition, but is terribly far behind their capped competition. The consumer just "manages" the cap, and gets by.

I did switch to a different ISP with no cap, but it was a speed/cost issue. Had nothing to do with the data cap, though that is a nice perk.
