That had to be very hard for him to do and I'm sure he had a very good reason. I just hope that his health hasn't deteriorated to a level that won't allow him to work.

I agree. Obviously his health wasn't perfect...who's is?... but I hope this didn't happen because it's getting worse.
I'm getting ready to buy some more stocks(if it goes to 350 or below).

Steve is smart, he wouldn't give the title of CEO to someone who he did not feel 100% sure could do his job.

He's still Chairman and frankly, I don't think he's been the CEO for a while now. This just makes it official. I suspect nothing real will change here, he'll still be as involved as he can be.

Exactly. The company doesn't end with him. Apple, under him, has developed an ethos that will exist long after he leaves.

Tough call.

Steve not only built the company, he saved it when he came back in 1999 when things were on the verge of collapsing. One of the true heroes of the 20th Century methinks!

Hang on to those original install discs like grim death! Using OS X.7 or later make a bootable USB thumb drive before running Installer!

I feel like I hate August because of the lost of our community leader and this. Hopefully, Tim Cook will make Apple Inc. one of the top businesses in the world.

I don't doubt that Apple couldn't run without him, I doubt Apple's *presence* without Steve's telepathic hypnotist abilities! Yeah, you know what I'm talking about
