The patent is one thing, how they will implement it is another.

Might become an interesting debate .... Apple taking control over :
- the hardware .... done
- the OS ..... done
- the applications ... done
- the content ..... in progress.
- the communication channel ... in progress

Mind you, Apple are not the only ones trying to achieve this.

Well under the Apple umbrella as you put it is fine by me. Great for the people not so good with computers. Easier to learn the Apple ecosystem. Good for the lazy and time poor people too. Less to think about or configure. etc etc.

But I don't think Apple will become skynet. Well not anytime soon at least .
