This sounds like pure BS to me. For starters, the current LED-backlit solution they are using now (high-quality IPS LCD screens) have a wide viewing angle, look fantastic, and are cheap.

So what's their motivation to move to a commercially-unproven, VERY HIGH COST, limited-supply display?

If the 2nd gen iPad was coming out in 2015, I might be inclined to believe this, but anytime soon? Have you priced any OLED displays lately??
