Um...did you not understand the commercial? You can have your opinion of course, but I think that ad is at least a slap in the face to Microsoft.

I think the bigger slap in the face is who has the smallest portion of the market share. what Apple has roughly 10% of the PC market..im just saying. all the aggressive advertising by apple over the last few years has what, upped their market percentage share a few points at best?

this aggressive advertising is more like apple is trying to fight to stay alive.

Notice how the iphone and ipod commercials do not referance any other device, why not, because they are tops in those markets

Or it could just be merely poking fun at Microsoft for the humor (and to advertise their products)... why would they slap them in the face when their own computers are capable of running their OS, XP SP2 up to Windows 7? That wouldn't make a lot of sense, at least to me. Also, Apple is not oblivious to that old contest of "Mac vs. PC", so they're going to take a shot at luring buyers into their stores and online for the sake of the "contest". You know, marketing? Your product is always better than a competitors. You wouldn't want to run an advertisement that pointed out all the flaws with your products would you? Especially how better your competitor is than you. I hope not.

I thought that was the main reason apple made these adverts?
