LOL at Microsoft trying to follow Apple. Ex: The "scrolling with momentum" line the man said and how he can "easily flick through photos" two things that, when mentioned, MS wouldn't come to mind at all. I think it's going to be hilarious if/when MS makes storefronts or "in store support stations" to compete with Apple Stores. Those are going to be some full buildings with people and their glitched out PCs.

Seeing this made by MS begs the question: why didn't Apple put multi-touch in a mouse by now?? They've made some amazing products with multi-touch on the iPhone/Touch and the trackpad. Why not the mouse?

Why? It's obvious. Then the mouse would be more like a trackpad. And would be pretty hard to move a mouse and give multi-touch gestures all at the same time. But I think one day Apple will overcome this with a really good mouse.
On another topic I can't wait till Apple create something like in the TV show NCIS:LA. As in a computer where you can use the hand movements in the air to move everything around on screen.

Maybe not from Apple at the moment, but if you look at Microsoft's Project Natal you can see the technology for that sort of interface/interaction design emerging.

I've had a real love hate relationship with the Apple Mighty Mouse. I think I've owned seven of them. Four had to be returned when either the scroll or middle click function irretrievably died. And, yes, I know how to clean my scroll ball. The three I have left seem to be OK as long as I clean the ball every so often. To Apple's credit, the four defective mice were taken back and exchanged for new ones without so much as a whimper of protest. Now I'm facing a real dilemma. Will I go out and spend for the new just announced mouse, or keep on using the Mighty Mice I have?
the mighty mouse works great except for the scroll ball gettin dirty...(quick fix, qtip, and a sheet of paper, dab of water)....but just got the magic mouse in the mail so using that for now......
I just had one of the new mice in my hand last night for the first time. I was disappointed in the feel of it. It has sharp edges, not the comfy curved surface I'm used to with the Might Mouse. I suppose I could get used to it though.
