Wireless charging has recently arrived for small devices. It would be quite amazing if this technology could be integrated into all of Apple's products. Maybe it's not so far away? AppleInsider | Wireless power, charging technology may unplug Apple's iPhone

Have they been updated?

On the UK site it says 'The new macbook', same for macbook air/pro and mac mini/imac. I don't know the previous specs so can't compare. Also, google macbook and you get an adsense ad saying 'Apple's new macbook pro - thinner lighter and more powerful'.

Can't seem to find any announcement though. If this isn't the update, it's a bit odd that they are all being advertised as 'the new ...'.

Cheers,

I think those have been there since the revision in May/June/July.

My Macbook's inferior now.

At least I have the two finger scroll. Having the 4 finger application switching would be brilliant, though.

You say it looks awesome. While that is true, it doesn't have much difference from the last Macbook.

Most of the changes are architectural, not cosmetic. Unibody construction for the plastic Macbook, integrated battery, glass trackpad, and updated specs. The unibody construction does give it a rounder shape though, very similar to the Macbook Pro. Plus the bottom is rubberized. It's a nice update. Would have been great had the Firewire port not been taken out along with no SD card slot. At least it's more differentiated from the Pro line than it was before, thus giving people more reason to purchase the more expensive Macbooks.

Wow that iMac looks soooooo amazing. Starting at only $1100, that's ridiculous! How is Apple going to make money!? lol

Looks like a plastic MacBook Pro sans SD card and FireWire. Interesting to see how long it takes Apple to match the hard drive of the cheapest MBP to the new Macbook. Pretty stupid marketing if you can get the same computer for $200 bucks less.

A second look at the new Macbook and I'm slightly glad I bought mine a few months earlier because the bottom curves in slightly which I'm not keen on. I think it would have been better if they just added the new features while removing the screws with no other aesthetic change.

HiWhatsUpNothin is an unknown at this point
I got my new macbook yesterday ( my old one died about a week ago, and i love it. Its not really much different than my old but its just updated in a few minor ways that you wouldn't notice unless you had the old one.

It just feels more solid. When you close the lid it makes a much more solid sound. (more like setting a book on a table) the cd doesn't sound so scratchy, They moved the usb ports slightly farther apart, the keys are much more quiet and solid feeling, and i also love the new power cord.the only thing i REALLY don't like is that they went from mini dvi to minidisplay but thats what they are doing now so i didnt really have an option.

Thats my very brief review. If any of you guys have any questions just lemme know and i'd be glad to help you out.

Thanks,
Jeremy
