Where have all the white iPhones gone?

UPDATE: I called 3 of my local AT&T stores, asked them if they were going to have the white version and these were my answers:

The first guy sounded genuinely confused and said: "I would assume we'll have both..."
Need I remind us what happens when you assume?

The second guy said: "... I've never heard of a white iPhone..."
Well, I guess someone was playing hooky on that mandatory staff meeting.

And finally the third broke the pattern with a confident "Yes, we will have both."

Not sure about the situation for you guys across the pond, but here in the UK we are suffering shortages of all the iPhones!!
The white in particular seems to be gold dust! However after some rumaging around I have discovered apple are the only stockists' of the white iphones. Stock levels... i presume zero. The o2 stores along with the cpw stores have none and appear to be in serious confusion as to when they will be arriving, with some stating august/september but some even as late as christmas!

So if you're in the UK and want a white one, your best bet is an apple store direct. The catch here would also be that the apple store can only accept NEW CUSTOMERS, so good luck to anyone wanting to upgrade to the white iPhone!

There are iPhone shortages everywhere except the Apple stores.

If you have to go to the ATT store to get yours, don't expect one anytime soon...there is a huge backorder line.

seems like the 8 and 16GB black ones are in short supply. My Apple Store only had 16GB versions this weekend and quickly ran out of the black ones.
