Can someone confirm/deny whether the iBook G3, 800Mhz, 30Gb HD, 128MB ram model shipped with USB 2.0? I bought in the UK in Nov 2002. Ta.

So is there any adapter that can upgrade USB 1.1 to USB 2? Been looking but not quite sure what is a hub and what is an adapter etc...

USB is a Universal Serial Bus and so it can only go as fast as the base USB so I doubt that you could get an "Adapter" to do it with.

On laptops with pc-card slots (Pcmcia slots) you can add usb 2.0 cards.
But since the iBook doesn't have this, you will not be able to add it.

Btw what device do you need to use with usb 2.0?

I ask this as I know many devices that are usb 2.0 also come in a firewire flavour, which is just as fast and your iBook has. (ext. harddrives / optical drives, mp3 players, cameras...)
QUOTE Thanks
