Hi there,
I really really need help! After an accident with my "real" computer (a nearly new macbook) I had to get one to tide me over, so I purchased an old titanium powerbook G4 on ebay. The computer was fine except for that the person selling failed to inform me about power issues - only that the battery had a short life. No problem, I figured, as I could keep it plugged in. Well, the computer itself never held a charge without the battery. Today, the battery ran so low (I didn't notice it was unplugged) that it now won't start up at all. I tried taking the battery out and in again, but it still won't start. Now I've just noticed little blue sparks from within the power cord, just before it meets the computer. I desperately need help figuring out to do as I am about to have a breakdown about all of my computer troubles! I really don't want to waste more money getting a brand new battery or power cord if either or both won't fix the problem. Any insight any of you have would be most appreciated. Thanks so much in advance, Alison |
