Just get the OWC house brand. It's the cheapest, has a lifetime warranty, and you'll not see any difference in use on your MacBook between it and the other 2 brands.
If you're not using Photoshop, CS3, doing a lot of video or audio encoding, or other programs that can eat memory; 2GB is probably plenty. At the same time, if the extra $25 is no big deal, you can't go wrong by going the 3GB route. I cannot be held responsible for the things that come out of my mouth. The Core Duo Macbook and Macbook Pros only support 2GB of memory, but I believe the Core 2 Duo machines can go up to 3 and 4, depending on the version. Quote:

Unfortunately, I have never seen modules of 1.5GB per unit. It seems that if dual-channel performance is important to you, you'd need to keep it at 2GB or go to 4GB. In reality, you'll probably never notice the difference without it, although you might see slight gains in benchmarks.
Do you have a Core Duo or a Core 2 Duo Mac? Liquid and computers don't mix. It might seem simple, but we see an incredible amount of people post here about spills. Keep drinks and other liquids away from your expensive electronics! |

It is better, but that is the reason why it is better. If you have the latest incarnation of MacBook (if you bought it just recently, then you do), there's no reason you couldn't just go with 2x2GB matched modules - then you don't have to worry about it.
