MacBook - macbook + tea = not a happy day
hi guys
the other day tea was spilt all over my macbook as it was on and running on mains power it was left for about 10 hours before i found it, it had switched its self off so i pulled out ram hard drive and battery and left for a day or so to dry out.
a day or so later i tryed it and with no luck it dident boot now it as been left to dry out for 3 or 4 days now and i tryed agen and dident get it to boot but got the screen and the light on the frount flashing.
so it is still left to dry but what is best to do next and what is the best move next?

You should've taken the internals out and rinsed it with clean water, then leave it out for at least a week to ensure every bit of moisture has evaporated before trying to turn it on again.

Probably logic board failure. My MacBook just succumbed to the same thing. Replacement runs nearly as high as the cost of a new/refurbished model, so you might want to consider that.
By the way, I plan to buy insurance from www.safeware.com the next time I get a notebook computer. For now, I'm transitioning to an iMac.
thanks i guess i will b spending £1800 on a top end pro then
and no more tea
spilling once i would think makes some people extra careful in the future, but youd be surprised how many people ive heard DO IT AGAIn! if your one of those people, you may wanna get some insurance, or by a dell with complete care to cover your mishaps.
as an apple customer, THE ONLY THING id like further from apple is optional "accidental coverage". Theyd make a KILLING
For the people that continually spill things on their laptops I would have them get a Panasonic tough book. My family bought my uncle one for when he went to Iraq and the thing served everything from the dust to being drop and having drinks spilled on it.

yer this is the first time i have done anything like this and my computer stuff tends to last a long time for example i am at home for xmass and using a very old computer i have had for years and years lol.
but i need a mac and the last hand full of days with nothing but windows reminds me why i moved to them in the first place.
