So I own a new MBP 17" (got it last month) and after a few weeks of use, i feel that the 17" is much to big for my taste. Do you think Apple would give me a full trade to 15" with the same specs? The 17" is $300 more than the 15" and my 17" is in perfect condition.

No, they won't. There is a 14 day return policy. If you are out of that timeframe then you are out of luck.

No store is going to take back a used computer and allow you to trade it for a brand new one.

Thats your best bet...you'd probably be able to sell it for enough to buy a new 15" one.

But in all reality, the 15" isnt all the much smaller of a footprint.
