are you talking about apps or actual physical accessories?

if you're just talking accessories, i'd for sure consider a portable hard drive for backup and a lapdesk of some sort.
since my lapdesk has a storage area i also keep the following inside:
a usb media card reader
a set of travel speakers
ear bud headphones
double sided sharpie for cd-r marking
