I did a search but didn't really see if anyone was able to get their MacBook fixed for the flicker issue when its been over a year and you didn't purchase any extra warranty's.

This flicker makes me soooooooooooooo sad, I love this lil guy! Am I screwed?

I'd ask at your Apple Store anyway, maybe they'll have mercy since it was a pre-existing condition.

The Core Duo's (1st gen) had a lot of issues that were "baked in", so you might be able to get them to take care of it.

It's worth a shot at least!
