    Specs:
    27" iMac 3.4GHz quad-core Intel Core i5 8Gb Ram 1TB Fusion HD + MBP
    Hard Drive for MBP 2.33
I have a Mac Book Pro, 2.33 Ghz, Intel Core 2 Duo that I would like to install a larger hard drive. What is the largest HD I can put in it? Any suggestions?

    TIA

    a 2.5"

other than that, the one with the most storage capacity you can find.

    250gb 5400 rpm or 200gb 7200 rpm

Well, cwap! Guess that lets out the 5.25" drive I was hoping for

Seriously, thanks for the info. Wasn't sure if there were limitations or not.

One more: Memory--I believe I can use a 2Gb DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) memory chip along with my existing 1Gb chip to boost me to 3Gb. Can I go to two 2Gb chips or am I limited to a 2Gb and a 1Gb chip?

    Thanks again!

people have reported MBP's capable of seeing 4gb. I'd just stick with 3 unless you confirm it. 1gb is anemic. 2gb is just right. 3gb is wow! 4gb is over kill.

for the most part...unless you're going to be running several memory instensive programs at once. I do professional recording on 2gb just fine.
