Ok... this is going to sound like a noob question...
But are firmware updates passed through Software Update? or do they come from another source?
I know this question is dumb considering it's called Software Update, and not Computer Update or Firmware Update, but I have to ask, because I don't know where else to look.
Thanks all.KamileonX (Lawrence)

AFAIK, Software Update picks up on Firmware updates too but only for Mac OS not any 3rd party stuff. Your question is a good one as Firmware is a kind of bridge between Hardware and Software so it has relevance.
In older Macs running pre-OS X you may need to search out a certain Firmware Update before upgrading the OS but in your case, Software Update should be the 1st and last port of call.
