MacBook Pro - Battery Charging Problem

My battery is fully charged, but the power adapter and the icon at the top will fluctuate from charged to a number usually in the 2:00 range. It does this every couple seconds and then takes forever to calculate. I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT!! I can't find anything online and am sick of searching. Do I need to reset my battery?? HELP!!

My magsafe would flicker from red to green and the menubar would flicker as well. I called Apple, and they sent a new battery -- fixed!
