Hello,

I've had a PowerBook G4 for a while now, and I think I've cluttered it up to the point that I would like to wipe it and start anew.

I know it came with a grey System Restore or similar CD/DVD - alas I can't find mine anywhere. Can this disc be downloaded/obtained anywhere? Can I get the PowerBook reset to its factory state some other (inexpensive) way?

Thanks for any replies.

Depending on the Powerbook it may have originally came with either OS 9 or OS X ... you can achieve your goal by looking on eBay for a set of Full Retail Install Discs for whatever OS you need ... What are the full specs of your PB?

It's a PowerBook G4 12" ("867 MHz PowerPC") - it came with OS X, Tiger I think.

I'll have a look on eBay to see if the prices aren't too high.

Thanks for replying.

Welcome to Mac-Forums, vijayann.

Your PowerBook shipped with Jaguar 10.2.4 and OS 9.
