MacBook - isight cam as web cam

hi guys, i'm new to macs and have just purchased a macbook. does anyone know how to make the isight camera be recognised as a webcam so i can use it in chatrooms

Thats what it is. If it isn't working for which application you mean to use it, maybe your trying something that your used to doing on windows and it isnt mac compatible? Example, you use the isight for iChat, which is obviously using it as a camera, over the internet, making it a webcam.
