What are the different things I can hold at system startup? What will each one do?

    Cool
I don't understand your question. Maybe someone can interpret your question for me.

Well since Mac is designed to be on or asleep essentially all the time, start ups should be rare enough to make selection of start up items somewhat unimportant

If you hold down Apple + S it will bring you into Single User Mode....basically a unix shell

Holding down C will boot from the CD drive. There are more but I can't remember them off the top of my head
Don't forget to use the new User Reputation System
