Hey all!
So I decided to upgrade my macbook... I'm going to buy a 21' flat screen monitor, 2G of RAM, and hopefully try and get at least 200G HDD if it will fit? Can anyone tell me what's the biggest HDD I can get that will fit in my macbook and also which is the best video card I can buy for around 100-200 dollars? I am just planning on playing WoW again but I really want it to be a smooth experience. Thanks! "Have a strong base, a witty mind, and a heart that is open but in no way hungry." |

Neither the Macbook nor Macbook Pro's video can be upgraded. It's part of the main board and in the case of the Macbook, part of the Intel Chipset on the board. WOW I am told plays on a MB but with lower settings. There is nothing you can do to the Macbook to allow WOW to play at Maximum settings and smooth as silk. I am just impressed it plays it as well as some say it does with Intel Integrated Video!! ...Dennis |

Oh well... I guess RAM will help it a bit.If anyone can suggest a specific HDD to get that would be excellent. Thanks a ton guys. "Have a strong base, a witty mind, and a heart that is open but in no way hungry." |

This drive is very pricy but if you want the speed of a 7200 RPM drive and as large a drive as you can get in 7200 this will do the job. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822145160 Hope that helps. Thanks again, Dennis! I think I'm going to go ahead and buy that first Hitachi... I've heard other users talk about it and it seems great. "Have a strong base, a witty mind, and a heart that is open but in no way hungry." |
