I just used a really small one, I don't know the size but it's part of a kit of "watchmaker" type screwdrivers. Take a look in a DIY shop, they'll have something. You could even take the MB in there to make sure.

I just used a normal sized one on my iMac. I think any "+" screwdrive (philips is it?) should work...

I bought a set of precision screwdrivers specifically to do my own update, and it's kind of a good thing I got the larger handled ones rather than use one of those skinny handled precision screwdrivers you get from the cheap places because:

a) you need a really, really, really tiny phillips screwdriver to remove/install the screws and

b) they're pretty tightly screwed in there, so you really need the leverage.

Managed to get them off though. The screws are 'captured' if I recall correctly, which means they won't fall out of the little metal strip once you get them out.

And speaking of leverage, once you put the new RAM in, don't be afraid to really seat them in there. My fingers hurt for awhile after doing the install, but I knew they were seated in there, so no kernel panics yet after something on the order of three months with new RAM.
