Ok here is the deal
I have been a PC person for along time until i got a mac book pro for work not the duo core 2 but the one before. I started to love macs so i got the new iMac and now i want a Notebook.
I want to burn DVD so i have to get either the mid range white or black

But the black is a extra $200 for just 60 gigs of hard drive space

but the black look nice and so does the white

my question should i get the white or black
am a guys does the white look less manly

I read somewhere that Apples's design team feels white is on its way out. That's why new Ipods have multitude of colours.

yeah man im same as you cant make my mind up..im just going to get the white one then just buy a skin for it..but if you have the money and buget is not really a problem then just get the black..but yeah that black one is calling my name maybe i should save up more $

If you are a clean boy, then go for the white. But if you have a habit of shoving your hands in muck and then using your macbook, then its not a good idea. The palm rest tends to get dirty. But the $200 upgrade is not justified and hence I say go for the white. It does not make you look girly (what gave you that impression?)

Haha, you guys are insane. Why would you need anyone's advice on which color to get? If you like white, get the white. If you like black... well, get the black one.

Don't let the size of the Winchester unit matter, you're gonna fill it up anyway.

yh apple are fading the White products out. e.g. the white ipods, white imacs white macbooks (soon i expect)

its up to you. i dont the manly thing matters !

Hey, in our family I (the guy) have the white, while my wife (the girl, obviously) has the black. But then she's a Wiccan and I need all my accessories (iPod, mouse, external keyboard) need to match.

Okay, so the 22" widescreen external LCD is black, so that doesn't match. And her iPod is a blue Nano (sold her black video...redundant. Which reminds me, that guy owes me money.)

I agree, the white MB gets dirty pretty fast...I have solved that problem by getting a clear keyboard skin on ebay for 99 cents and I use the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the palm rest grime.

PS. There are great MB skins out there, search the forums for some solutions.

Sorry blackbook owners, but you gotta admit, the black macbook looks pretty bad plugged into a white powercord, white firewire, and using a white bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I never understood why Apple doesn't just spend a few extra dollars on some paint and make some black accessories to go with the blackbook. I understand it costs money to have black accessories made when they have tons of white ones in stock, but come on Apple, a $1500 macbook, and you can't ship it with a matching powercord? Until they do, I can't bring myself to even consider a black macbook. The price increase from white to black just isn't worth it.
