I have a 833mhz ibook I was given and want to get it working in my room with my projector for film use. I plug it in and not much happens! I played with the settings and got a fuzzy picture, however I have since lost that, I don’t really know what I’m doing on a mac. I plugged my friends g4 macbook in and that worked fine without touching anything. Any ideas? Is there a ‘hot key’ for turning on projectors?

It has the latest OS.

also first time using a mac

Well you could try the display settings in system preferences, but otherwise the iBook automatically mirrors its image onto a projector... Might be a loose connection or something..

Try a different resolution setting. The iBook basically just mirrors its display onto a projector. So if your projector doesn't support the resolution, it might go out of signal. Try changing it to 640*480 or something. Also in the display panel, there is a button "detect displays". Try that.

Thing is, when I've used my iBook with a projector, it just works without any setting change..
