MacBook - HELP! put in new ram, nothing is happening

i installed the new ram, patriot 5300 and i see the power light and but nothing is happening whne i try to turn it on.

is it not tight enough in ? or what is it

i tried putting back my original ram, and now when i turn it on, the power light if flashing.... HELP me pleasee


EDIT : FOUND OUT i HAD TO PUSH SUPER HARD, being used to PC desktop. I never pushed ram in that hard, they usually click and a bit more fragile.
