I'm having some issues with my C2D MBP. Every once in a while, the fans will spin up to 6300 RPM (as indicated by iStat and smc fan control) and hang there. The CPU temp was about 120 F last time it happened. I tried restarting and the machine restarted, but the fans never spun down. Other times, the CPU temps will hit 155-170 F and the fans won't budge from 2000 RPM. This started before I installed smc fan control ( I installed that in order to try and get the fans under control). Has this happened to anyone else, or does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking there's a bad connection between the temp sensors and the fans, making the fans think that the computer temp is something completely different than it is. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks! There's only two types of music: good and bad... |
