if i were to install non apple memory would that void the warranty? I know they give a guide on how to install it, but i dont know if you are only supposed to use apple branded memory. Its just to expensive for me.
And, would replacing the existing 5200 rpm hd with a 7200 rpm drive void the warranty? i am assuming this will. Thank you for your help. I plan on getting a MBP before years end. |

since it even details how to do it in the manual, memory is certainly something you can replace yourself.
doing a quick search on the forum seems to indicate that i's not super hard to replace the HD yourself, but it's not technically user servicable in apple's opinion; which could void your warranty.
