MacBook - Putting MacBook Harddrive in a MacBook Pro

Hello,

some time ago I bought two laptops: a MacBook for my girlfriend and a MacBook Pro for me.
We are both very pleased about how these wonderful computers work. But a couple of days ago
I was updating my girlfriend's OS and when it restarted from the upgrade it did not boot! Of
course I tried to restart it many times, but nothing happened. So something is seriously wrong
with this computer.

Now, my question is, is it possible for me to replace my harddrive (a harddrive in my MacBook Pro)
with the one that was in my girlfriend's MacBook? I am pretty sure that it is physically possible,
but I do not know what will happen if I do so.

If this is not an option, is it possible to mount a MacBook harddrive some how?

I hope you are able to understand my question and I am looking very much forward to hearing from you.

It's physically possible, but I would reinstall OSX if you do. OSX is tailored to the machine it's sold with and I would imagine you'd get a few problems booting with the MB hard drive without reinstalling.
