![]() Mac Specs: MacBook 2 ghz processor, 2 gigs of ram & 160 gig hd

Latley I've been experiencing some real serious issues with my 6 month old macbook, any help or advice from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I am running 10.4.8 (the dj software I use is not compatible with 10.10 yet) 2 gig processor with 2 gigs of ram and a 160 gig hd.
1) I've had kernal panics in the past but very few and now it is happening more often than I would like. 2) Lappy starts up and shuts down really slow, sometimes I have to keep restarting. If I click on the Mac HD icon on the desktop none of the icons appear just the names of the apps and if I click on the apps I get nothing just the spinning colored disk. 3) Sometimes the keyboard seems like it freezes up and the only thing that I can type are actual numbers from the lettered keys. And also the mouse pad freezes up. 4) Now I'm getting loud clicks and hums coming from inside and the fan will not stop. There are more issues but I didn't want anyone to get bored with a long posting. Should I take it back to apple and see if I can get it swapped out with a new one? Possibly with a MacBook pro if I really complain and cry.....any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. |

I would suggest trying some of the optimization utilities from Onyx
