I have to use my Mac during 2 back to back lectures...

I've heard of these:

1) Turn down the LCD light
2) Switch battery icon to better life
3) Turn off Airport
4) Turn off Bluetooth
5) Turn off DVD (How do you do this exactly?)

Can anyone add more?
QUOTE Thanks

shouldn't the DVD drive be off unless to put in a disc anyway?

How about setting your screen to shut off after only a couple minutes of idle? That helps me in class when I'm not doing anything for a few minutes at a time.
