I have a MBP 2.33 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo with 3 GB of Ram.

I know the newer MBP can handle 4GB...has anyone tried or figured out if 4GB will work in the 3GB models?

Thanks

I am not sure if you can use 4gb in the 2.33Ghz model mbp....I have the 2.16ghz mbp and was also looking into this...and my understanding is that with the 2.16ghz c3d and 2.33ghz c2d models, you can install 4gb (2x 2gb sticks) but the machine will only recognize 3GB.
