A few weeks ago The light on the power adapter for my G3 800mhz started acting up. It would only charge the ibook if I fiddled with it and never stay green for more than a few seconds. Just recently It's gone completely blank and now my Ibooks battery is dead and I have no way to use it. Does this sound Like the AC adapter of the ibook. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

hmm, mine has a similar problem, the orange / green ring seems to change colour depending on how i wiggle the plug in the ibook - something has a dodogy connection and it can sometime change colour with teh slightest movement.

i assume that the charger is using some elastic trickery to assess the state of charge and the loose or bad connection is giving bad results.

luckikly for me it still charges on green, tried borrowing another charger from an apple shop?

Since I am on my third AC power adapter, I think you need to get a replacement.
