(My MacBook's specs are under my avatar.)

When I got home today, my MacBook's fans were blowing as hard as I've ever heard them blow. So, I found a thread in M-F about Fan Control but I didn't know how to use it so I just restarted my computer, and the fans stopped, so that solved my problem. But I was looking at Fan Control and it seems like only one of my fans is working. Here's a screenshot of it:

I didn't mess with the settings at all, but is there something wrong? Why does it say that only my left fan is blowing?

I had about the same temperature as yours 136F but my fans weren't blowing hard, at least not audible. My right fan also read as -1 RPM and the Left was 2932 RPM. I guess the right is reserved for higher temps?

Macbook has only one fan, the exhaust fan. That might confuse some programs that monitor Macs with more.

You should find out what is pegging your cores. Run Activity Monitor to find the culprit (CPU percent.) Usually it's safari, but occasionally when I run iCal it insists on running this process called SyncServer which for some reason goes into a loop. I kill that off and the fan quiets down.

Ah, I thought it only had one fan. Btw, my reading were CPU at around 5-10%. Only when I watch DVD's while running programs in the background is when the fan comes on for me. Or if I transfer files from mac to mac via firewire, CPU shoots up to 50% and fans running hard @ 75F..

Yeah, like I said, after a restart my fans stopped blowing, so I'm not worried about that. If I only have one fan anyways, then I guess there's no worries for me right now.
