MacBook Pro - JVC GZ-MG150 connect

I have this JVC camcorder and does not connect with my mac
I have installed the jvc decoder but it is saying that I have to drag into the "system folders".
Any ideas or suggestions.

is it mini dv? is it a firewire connection?
