Hi Folks...I appreciate your looking at my post
I'm post here more out of curiosity as this is a problem I've never encountered with any computer, notebook or otherwise. A few months ago, when I used my Macbook it would occasionally just go "black," power down. I figured out pretty quick that this was b/c--at least partly--my Wifi Mighty Mouse was causing it; if I didn't use the mouse it worked, but I later installed the latest firmware and no problem. Nothing happened until recently I powered up my black Macbook (1st Gen btw) and I couldn't type or click...nothing--all I could was drag around the pointer with the touch pad. Even when I dragged over the icons on the bottom they opened pop up--like it wasn't recognizing the pointer. I powered the computer on/off again and again; I'm a savvy guy that used to build computers so I'm pretty knowledgeable..The computer only became "unfrozen" once I turned on my Wifi Mouse a couple times...Suddenly, boom, no problems. I'm posting this b/c I'd like some explanation. This is one thing that has always troubled me about Macs; in their simplicity, their problems are just harder to figure out. Why would this suddenly happen w/out the use of my mouse for months; and all of a sudden turning on the mouse fixes it?! Anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks a lot for reading!
QUOTE Thanks
