I just installed the iStat Pro widget application, and was shocked to find that my battery health is 69%. Also says "Cycles 94" - Not sure what this means. Anyway is there anything I can do to make my battery 'healthier'?

Also what is the difference between wired, active, and inactive memory usage?

the cycles means how many times you charged and discharged your computer
after a whle when you have alot of cycles your battery begins to die but its normal

what i do to improve my battery is i drain the battery then i shut down the computer and charge it until full, ive noticted that it lasts longer and i think its better then having your macbook plugged into the wall 24/7

Yeah I often just leave it plugged into the wall. I sometimes do what you do though. So is yours a continuous cycle of charging and draining?

Also sometimes what I do is unplug and the battery might drain to only 40% or so before I recharge it. I guess this is bad?

I have 137 cycles and 100% health (8 month old MacBook), and I don't do anything special with my battery. I use my computer the way I want to; on battery when I need/want to, and on power when I need/want to. It seems like people who spend every second obsessing over their batteries are the ones who wear them down faster.

Thats bad then. If my battery fails when its still in its warranty will they replace it for me? They are £99! I cant afford to be replacing it. I have had my MacBook 1 year, but have got an extra years warranty on it.

Drain your battery. use your MB running from battery and once it goes to sleep plug it and let your MB fully charge (in order to recalibrate the battery)... or else take it to Apple Care

So is 69% really bad then? I do notice I dont get as much life out of a fully charged battery as I used to.

Just out of interest, roughly how long does a fully charged battery last everyone?

yeah, what IS up with that? mines at 96% with 14 cycles. I was going to post this exact thread. I usually leave my notebook plugged into the wall when I'm using it or leave it on overnight to download. Matter of fact, even when I shut it down while I'm at work I still have it plugged in usually. I'm going to try cycling the battery I guess.
