I have an iBook G3, and while fixing the logic board problem, a little spring with a piece of plastic attached to it fell out. I don't know where it came from, but now the lid won't stay closed. Does anyone know what it could be and how to fix it?

This is the best I could come up with:

Display Hinge Clutch Brace Assembly (14" white iBook) and iBook disassembly where the author states that:

The actual latches are plastic and break easily.
QUOTE Thanks
