Hey guys , is it safe to say that the 8600gt is equivalent (or faster or slower) than the 7800 gtx?

the card is new so i was just trying to gauge how well the card performs relative to previous cards i know more about.
QUOTE Thanks

No, it's not comparable to the 7800GTX. The 8600GT is more of an upgrade of the 7600GT cards, so gaming performance probably won't be as strong as you were hoping for.

QUOTE Thanks
