Hi All,
I just picked up the new 2.2 GHz Macbook Pro and I was wondering if there is an option I can select so I don't lose internet connection when I close the screen. If I'm downloading a file and want to close my laptop, I want to be able to continue the download. I'm sure this is an easy fix in System Preferences. Thanks for any help. |

When you close your laptop, it goes to Sleep, which deactivates all network cards (as well as most of the other hardware.)
You can override this behavior, if you're the adventurous (or control-freak) type http://semaja2.net/insomniaxinfo/ Better to just not close your laptop. (Also saves wear and tear on the latch and hinge.) Turn the display off (use the brightness control) if you like. |
