Macbook - trying to by a mac

I am brand new to wanting a mac. I want a cheap used mac for limited media use, but mostly i am after battery life, typing notes in class and fast wireless internet access. What should I be looking for and what is a price I should be getting it at? I am trying to budget some so like 300-500 is preferred. Thanks if you can help!

Thats a pretty tight budget especially i you want a fast wireless connection. I would just start looking around at how cheap you can get an ibook. I highly doubt you can get macbook for that price. In fact, its impossible. I would recommend not going older than an iBook G4 since you would probably have to upgrade to have a really fast wireless connection.

yeah i agree if you want a decent battery life and good wireless connection you going to have to pay for a macbook and more tha your budget apple offer refurbished macbooks which are slightly cheaper and as good as new
