It seems like a trivial thing...but I did everything to be able to watch DVDs in colour in my TV, but nothing worked out. PAL-M, NTSC, new S-video cables, different Tvs...any help?

there is no you .. erm ... "u" in color

did you ever try to connect a monitor to your mac and did that work fine (showing color)? Other than that: Try a different software to play the DVD, like VLC forinstance. (don't know what you used so far though)

colour, color...not a native english speaker.
the whole screen (desktop) appears black and white. DVD's also.
