which screen is better for the 15 in. I'm leaning towards the glossy but i'm worried that i will have problems with glare, that i wouldn't have on the other one. Any views on this?

i have the glossy, and wont go back.

ever.

i even bought a glossy 22"er. People say the matte is better for photo editing, more true color rep or something. but i have no problem using photoshop on mine, i love it.

now the dust thats gathering and having a party inside my mbp LCD, thats something else for apple to fix

Your best bet would be to go to an Apple store, and look at the two models side-by-side, and see which you prefer more. Some people like the glossy better, others like the matte better.

I like glossy, the only time I ever had a glare problem was when I was outside, but then again, I don't keep my Mac near a window either.

Just go glossy.

The display is far more vibrant over the matte version
and there are absolutely no glare problems.

Go with the Matte if you will spending a lot of time outdoors or near windows with your laptop. I got the Matte with mine and could not be happier. I went and looked around my house where I would primarily be using my laptop and just could not have gone with the glossy. The glare would have been horrible.

either screen sucks outdoors, so i dont really see it being a gloss/matte debate there.

ive had both outside, and they are both worthless, just like most other laptops.

the gloss is no where near as "glary" as i thought it would be, it was the best choice for me, and what most people want in a resell from what ive found.

Dude what are you talking about? The matte screen dominates outdoors. I use mine all the time with no problems.

I think the colors are much more vibrant with the glossy and I would think this translates into a better gaming experience (if you game).

Ultimately though, it comes down to personal preference and you really have to see it yourself, it's not a clear glossy is better or matte is better. When I bought my MBP I like the glossy but my dad thought the Matte was better.

There are so many topics about this, but i understand. I'm in the same boat. I personally would like matte, because thats what i'm used to with my normal 19" widescreen. So when I get my MBP in a month and a bit, i'm going to stay with the matte theme. Still unsure and need to do some major comparrisons side by side.

glossy has nice colors, true colors matte, if you don't use photoshop or advanced imaging then get glossy, you will not be dissapointed.
