Got this same set...do/did you see any heat increases? My macbook seems to be running hotter then before.

Crucial has fantastic pricing on their RAM right now. I would definitely look their way.

Well, for starters, you might want to get one that's in stock

Anyway, I did a quick search at Newegg, and I personally think that you would be better off getting this instead of the one you linked to:

G.SKILL 2GB

tru2life, I didn't really check my temps before the upgrade, but it doesn't seem to be running any hotter than before the upgrade. The Battery Update caused more heat than the RAM upgrade did (now that I've replaced the battery, it's running nice and cool again)

I requested the Apple store to upgrade by RAM of my Macbook to 2 GB when I bought it. Howcome nobody seems to be recommending Apple ? I thought they have the best quality.

i asked my dad, and he seems very against replacing the ram. i want to save him 200 bucks when he gets me my macbook, but he has had bad experiences with replacing ram (esp with his dell), so he'd rather fork over the 200 for the security.

I'm not much of an expert when it comes to computers and I was able to upgrade my ram on my own from 512mb to 2gb. It was less than $100 with ram prices being so low right now...

Anyone able to sell their old, used ram?
