    What's a good deal on a C2D MBP . . .?
    I'm looking to purchase a C2D MBP.

Amazon has the 15" 2.16 C2D, 1GB Ram, 120 GB HD & 6X DVD/CD super drive for $1999 minus $150 rebate . . . takes it to $1850 with free shipping. I think this is the same price as Apple Store.

Anyone know what I could expect to pay for a refurbished unit from Apple Store??

Not sure how this deals compares.

Any advice on a better deal?

    Thanks for your help.

This model on the apple refurb site will run you $1599, and the 2.33ghz will run $1999.

I got the same model refurbished, and it looked like a new unit, in everyway, except for the brown box it came in.

direct from apple has always been my best route.

seems to be the cheapest as well.

If you spend some time looking, you can get the 2.16 brand new off eBay for slightly less than Amazon's price after the rebate. I just bought one for $1750.
