iBook - iBook g3 ejecting problem?

Ok during the installation of panther it had to switch disks, so when it was done with the first one, it tried to eject and couldnt, giving my a message to restart the computer eject it, check for scratches and fingerprints and restart the computer. so I did and now i have to start over. Is a problem with the disk or the tray?
